We are moving up in the search world!

Upon earning Google PageRank of 2, we did a quick synopsis of how WebGuru shows up in Google search results. The results were surprisingly positive.

We searched for WebGuru on Google.com for various combination of "webguru" or "web guru".  We are quite content with the results considering that a) WEBGURU-CO.COM only launched less than three months ago in the middle of January 2009 and b) we actually have not done very much SEO on our site.  The results are extra pleasing considering that there are hundreds, thousands, or maybe even millions of "webguru's" out there.  The name webguru is extensively used with sites such as webguru-india, mrwebguru, webgurudesigns, etc.

Some interesting trends were observed.

1. WEBGURU-CO.COM actually showed up in the first 5 or 6 pages when searched for the often used generic term "webguru" and "web guru".  This was quite a nice surprise considering the elements described in the previous paragraph
2. WEBGURU-CO.COM performed exceedingly well when terms "webguru" or "web guru" was combined with a simple "co" at the end.  WEBGURU-CO.COM showed up in the first page of search results in these instances. For example, search in Google.com for "web guru co" shows WEBGURU-CO.COM as the #1 result.
3. Other long term keywords that uniquely identified WebGuru resulted in first page result as well (i.e. "web guru mongol").
